Going to the cinema to watch a movie, watching a football game on television, getting together with friends… There are some activities that seem to always be accompanied by snacks. Popcorn and French fries are the most common options in these situations, but they are not the best for our bodies. This Give Recipe snack is a much healthier alternative. The next time you settle into your couch in front of the TV, fill up a bowl and eat as many chips as you want without feeling guilty.
Ingredients
– 4 apples
– 3 teaspoons of cinnamon
– 2 tablespoons of sugar (use a variety that is as unrefined as possible to make them even healthier)
1. Preheat the oven to 100°C.
2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
3. Using a mandolin or sharp knife, slice the apples as thinly as possible.
4. Arrange the apple slices on the baking sheet, being careful not to overlap.
5. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar and drizzle over both sides of the apples.
6. Bake the chips for an hour. After this time, remove the tray from the oven and turn the apples over. Then, bake them for another hour.
Store chips in an airtight bag or container.
