Have you ever thought what if bicycles were actually capable of reversing pollution? Now it is possible!
Designed for those cyclists who suffer from poor air quality due to pollution every day when traveling through big cities, this bicycle with a built-in air purifier is capable of cleaning polluted air and generating fresh air as if it were a plant.
It was devised by a group of Thai engineers from the Lightfog Creative & Design company in Bangkok, and basically its design has a filter that captures pollutants and transforms them into pure air that comes out through the upper frame of the bicycle, allowing the driver breathes it while pedaling.
The purifier includes a filter that purifies dust and other contaminants thanks to a system similar to the photosynthesis of plants that produces oxygen. It has, for this, a water tank, an electric motor and a lithium ion battery.
“As you ride the bike, the air passes through the filter at the front, where it is cleaned before being released to the rider,” the engineers and designers of the groundbreaking invention reported.
This idea has already won international awards and is expected to soon begin commercialization around the world.
A perfect idea to promote sustainable mobility and reduce pollution in cities, not only avoiding the car, but also generating oxygen with each journey!
