When thinking about the ideal place to live, many probably imagine a house in the most beautiful places they have ever seen or visited. However, many of them are remote locations where starting a lengthy construction process can be a real hassle.
For this reason, some choose other options, such as turning a container into a home; or else build your hobbit house; or assemble a prefabricated house.
It was this last option that the designers of KODA focused on, a small prefabricated house model that was selected for the 2016 World Architecture Festival.
With external dimensions of 732 x 393 cm, and occupying an area of 28.77m2, this house is made up of modules that can be transported anywhere without much inconvenience.
As it is not fixed to the ground, it is very easy to assemble, disassemble and move. That is why it is considered as a mobile home, becoming a perfect option for adventurous spirits who would like to live in different parts of the world.
The structure of the house is made with little concrete and finished with materials that are not toxic. In addition, the walls have proper insulation despite being very thin, it has LED lighting and solar panels installed on the roof.
To mount it, only a level gravel, asphalt or cement surface is required as a foundation; and the company, for its part, provides all the equipment and finishing already done so that it can be ready in seven hours.
Inside, the lower part has a kitchen, a multi-purpose room and a bathroom. Upstairs, a loft converts to a comfortable bedroom.
Without a doubt, the star element is the quadruple-glazed facade that allows the entry of light and heat from the sun, and in turn makes the house integrate perfectly with the environment.
