Located in the mountainous Yang-Pyeong region of South Korea, this wilderness campsite features contemporary designed ‘tents’ that add a bit of luxury to the traditional camping experience.
The project was called ‘Glamping for Glampers’ and was carried out by the Archiworkshop design studio.
The accommodation modules are like a hybrid between a tent and a cabin. They are designed in two different formations: a circular unit and a modular flow unit, lengthwise. Both have been built with wooden floors and a cover specifically created to be resistant to UV rays, water and fire.
The circular unit features a private indoor covered terrace connecting the master bedroom and living room. The modular flow unit, by contrast, extends out onto a larger outdoor terrace.
In addition, from the site you can see the valley, the forest and the stream.
Inside, guests can enjoy polished hardwood floors, comfortable beds, a large living area with modern furnishings, a kitchenette, and a bathroom hidden within two dramatic art walls.
It also has a small terrace at the back of the tent that also provides access to the main room.
Glamping for Glampers seems to be an ideal destination for eco-tourists who want to experience the outdoors, calm and with all the comforts to spend a restful trip and connection with nature.
