A grandmother who brings an ancestral message of love and hope to all of Latin America

Our grandparents carry within themselves the secret of a time that we have not known, the thread that unites us to our parents, to that which gave us our very existence. Although in the original populations the grandparents always had a place of wisdom considered, in many cases, as sacred; In Western societies, in which youth appears as one of the most desired values, we have relegated them, without realizing that, by doing so, there is something in our own history that we are forgetting.

Margarita Núñez García, affectionately known as “Grandma Margarita”, carries in her blue eyes and wide smile the tradition of more than 70 years of ancestral knowledge. With wisdom and joy, this Mexican grandmother travels the world transmitting a message of love and spirituality that invites us to reconnect with our roots.

Margarita is also part of the Council of Elders of America, which brings together a large number of members of communities originating from different tribes to perform ceremonies and transmit knowledge. That is why she also knows the dance circles of the sun, the earth, the moon, and other rituals that she seeks to recover, to bring us closer to who we are.

Raised with her healer and miraculous great-grandmother, Margarita is heir to the traditions of the Mayan and Chichimeca people, a civilization that predates the Aztecs. In her visits to different places in the world, she uses songs to express many of her teachings that seek to reconnect us with what gave us life, Mother Earth and Father Sun.

Here you will be able to see some of his most recognized teachings, said by Margarita in different interviews that she gave on her tours.

Grandmother Margarita’s messages to the world

Technology

“The world right now is technological. Mother Earth is full of technology and industry but there are many industries that harm Mother Earth… One day our love for the Earth will unite us again and we will abandon them, they will disappear. Then the technology will help us to measure the distance between our abilities of clairvoyance, intuition, power of ubiquity, clairvoyance, and those of computers and we will see that there is very little distance. That day we will begin to use again what we have inside.”

culture and rituals

“Our peoples, our continent, were one humanity and one culture. During the last 5 centuries our cultures have passed from lip to ear in order to be rescued. Many of our rites such as the temazcal, the Sun Dance, the Earth Dance, the Night Dance were kept for all this time and hid in the most inhospitable places. The most hidden places were sought to continue celebrating them and thus preserve them. Now is the time to be able to open up to humanity and that is why our knowledge is opening up to everyone more and more”.

Happiness

“Happiness is so simple! It consists of respecting what we are, and we are earth, cosmos and great spirit.”

“Be happy, love a lot. Love yourself and value yourself, because nobody gives what they don’t have… All Human Beings are Wonderful.”

Women

“The woman is the educator of humanity and the change in the world comes through the woman. This is found in the balance of the feminine energy, when the woman takes her place again, when she finds her place and begins again to love and value each other, the man will occupy his own”.

“The female awakening corresponds to the heart and affects men and women equally.”

Love

“We are born with 2 possibilities: love and fear, and it is about changing emotions towards love.”

Sex

“We must see our body as sacred and know that sex is a sacred act, that is the way to make it sweet and fill us with meaning. Life comes through that act of love. If you trivialize that, what do you have left?” “Returning the sacred power to sexuality changes our attitude towards life. When the mind unites with the heart, everything is possible.”

Thought

“When you understand who you are, your thoughts come true. When I need something, I ask myself. And it works.”

Old age

“Older people are ground gold for society and it is an ideal time to share experiences and wisdom.”

“We confuse old age with illness, loneliness or sadness and that is not true. You can get where you want, although more slowly than before.”
