In some countries right now it’s summer and many people are looking to cool off… Whatever!
Sthepan Beese is undoubtedly one of them. This architect used a garbage container that had also been discarded to build this incredible design pool.
The transformation is amazing, and although it undoubtedly required knowledge of architecture and carpentry, it is an idea that deserves to be taken into account by those who are about to install a pool in their home.
One of the advantages of the design is that the pool is not sunk into the ground, meaning that there is no need to dig a large pit. Sthepen dug a shallow hole with a bulldozer and covered it with gravel.
The next step, and the most difficult, was to get the container to the site. But it was no more complex than moving a plastic or fiberglass pool. As you can see in the photo, the container was very used and not in very good condition, but that was not a problem.
As you will see, it was not necessary to bury the container.
Then it was time to use ingenuity to make the container waterproof and strong enough to hold so many liters of water. The solution was to cover it with a thick blue canvas.
Finally it was time to build the structure. That was when this architect had to apply all his knowledge and showed that he knew what he was doing.
The design is very sophisticated. It even has space for a filtering system, which is necessary in every pool so as not to waste more water than necessary.
More than a swimming pool, a real relaxation space was built.
And for children, a space full of fun!
