Going to bed at night is one of the most comforting moments after a long day of activities. There are many things that we do unconsciously that, if observed closely, reflect our innate behavior.
There are plenty of people who find some positions slightly uncomfortable, even if it’s on the other side of the pillow, or with one leg further apart than necessary. That’s why the way you sleep says a lot about you.
If you are one of those who need to sleep in a specific position, and you have trouble falling asleep when you are forced to adopt another form, this note is for you.
1. You have to hug something
When you need to sleep with something in your arms, even if it is a pillow, a teddy bear or the comforter, it implies that you are a very trusting and open person with others. Also, your friends know that you are someone they can safely trust, as you will always have your back for them, even though you may seem a little clingy from time to time. On the other hand, you always try to avoid altercations and prefer to opt for dialogue.
2. Lying face down
If you feel the need to sleep lying on your stomach with your arms and legs sticking out, then you have the makings to be a great leader. You are impulsive and tend to take the initiative in order to ensure order, both in your professional and personal life. Most likely, you prefer to plan everything in advance and are not a big fan of surprises. Your ability to persevere and sense of responsibility can help you achieve great success. However, it is also true that you can be very sensitive at times.
3. Like a log
All those who sleep on one of the sides, with their arms and legs stretched out over the axis of the body, tend to be calmer than average people, also trusting those around them. They think that the world is not such a bad place as it is made to believe, and they are not afraid to face all the obstacles that may come their way. On the other hand, they are also outgoing and charismatic souls, so you won’t regret taking them with you to a party.
4. Lying on your back
If you need to sleep lying on your back, in an upright position, it indicates that you are probably a fairly quiet and reserved person, someone who does not need to be attached to anything to express yourself. In this way, you radiate great confidence and self-awareness, having very high opinions of yourself and fully trusting your daily interactions. On the other hand, you can also become a bit of a perfectionist, but that’s good, because everything must be in its right place.
5. Fetal position
Almost 41% of people sleep in this position, being one of the most common in relation to sleep. This form is known this way because, basically, you simulate a fetus in the mother’s womb, lying on one side with the legs drawn up to her chest. If you always sleep in this position, that means that people see you as someone rough on the outside, although we know that you also have a hidden and sensitive side, which requires protection. Also, you show your attempt to escape from the problems around you.
6. With one leg raised
If you sleep in a heron-like position, with one leg raised, then you probably possess an unpredictable personality that is often drawn to all kinds of adventures. However, your mood can change so quickly that it can be confusing to everyone around you. Very often, you find it difficult to be decisive and make the right choices, but in general, both in life and at work, you prefer to opt for stability, peace, tranquility and thoroughness.
7. Starfish
In relation to sleeping positions, the “starfish” shape is often seen on television or in movies. In real life, the truth is that very few people tend to take this position. However, those who do, sleep on their backs, with their legs apart and their arms close to their head, like a starfish, it seems as if they are thinking deeply about something!
