Surely you know some shortcuts on your keyboard. For example, the glorious “CTRL+Z” to undo, which has saved us from catastrophe more than once. But maybe you don’t know that with “CTRL+Y” you can redo what you undid before.
Or you know that with CTRL+V you can paste a text, but maybe you don’t know that if you combine CTRL+SHIFT+V instead you copy a plain text.
Like those, your keyboard has hundreds of other secrets. Perhaps they may not seem very necessary to you: but certainly, they can help you a lot to speed up your use of the computer.

In a Windows window:
Del (or Ctrl + D): Delete the selected item and move it to the recycle bin.
Shift + Delete: Delete the selected item without moving it to the recycle bin.
F2: Rename the selected item.
Shift + an arrow key: Select multiple items in a window or on the desktop, or select text in a document.
Ctrl + with an arrow key + Spacebar: Select multiple individual items in a window or on the desktop.
Ctrl + A: Select all the elements in a document or a window.
Alt + Enter: View the properties of the selected element.
Ctrl + mouse wheel: Change the size of desktop icons.
Shift + F10: Show the context menu of the selected item.
F5 (or Ctrl + R): Refresh the active window.
Shortcuts that have the Windows icon key as the protagonist:
Windows logo key: Open or close the Start menu.
Windows logo key + D: Show the desktop.
Windows logo key + M: Minimize all windows.
Windows logo key + Shift + M: Restore minimized windows to the desktop.
Windows logo key + T: Cycle through programs on the taskbar.
Windows Logo Key + Up Arrow: Maximize the window.
Windows Logo Key + Down Arrow: Minimize the window.

Ctrl + Tab: Advance through the tabs.

Tab: Advance through the options.
Shift + Tab: Go back through the options.
Enter: Replaces mouse click on many selected commands.
Space bar: If the active option is a box, activate or deactivate it.
Arrow keys: If the active option is a group of radio buttons, select a button.
F1: Show Help.
Backspace: Open a folder one level higher if a folder is selected in the Save As or Open dialog.
Alt + F4: Close dialog.
