Many times we have shoes or slippers at home that are in perfect condition and fit us well, but we don’t like them.
You may have bought them and then discovered that they did not convince you, that they were given to you, or that they have gone out of style.
No matter what the reason, you can renew them with these tricks so that they become your favorite footwear!
1. Galactic Tennis
To paint your galactic sneakers, you can use fabric paint or acrylic paint, which is just as good and doesn’t come off with washing. To do this, cover the rubber with masking tape and paint the irregularly shaped surface with three colors. To finish, use a disused toothbrush to dot with white spots.
2. Casual splash
This design, which you can even find for sale in some sneaker brands, can be easily done by splashing bleach or bleach on your sneakers with an old toothbrush (then never use it to brush your teeth again). Protect your hands with rubber gloves and your eyes with goggles because if the bleach splashes on the mucous membranes it can be very dangerous. Do not let children or teenagers make this design alone.
3. Punk style
For this design, get these studs with snap-on spikes. You can apply them in the holes that the shoe already has or make them yourself. You will have some punk style sneakers.
4. Stamped tongue
You can renew any shoe by sticking a patterned fabric on the tongue. It will be a very exclusive design!
5. Glitter tab
Another option is to cover the tongue of the shoes with glitter or glitter (be careful with the glitter, remember that young children should not play with it or be near it because they can breathe it in and choke).
6. Marbled
Another very original idea is to create a marble pattern with nail polish!
The technique consists of dropping drops of enamel on a container of water, mixing with rods to create the effect you want and immersing the object (in this case the sneakers) so that the paint sticks.

7. Tennis with embroidery
You can also renew your sneakers with an embroidery. You don’t need to know how to make complex designs, you can create a beautiful design with simple geometric shapes.
8. Plush slippers for winter
An alternative option to decorate the tongue is to sew a piece of stuffed fabric. Ideal for winter!
9. Polka dot sneakers
This is another design made with bleach. Before you start, try on some hidden area of the shoe, because the result will not always be white. Dark blue, for example, can turn pink when faded.
10. Beaded Toes
This design is made with special “crystal” style beads, which have a flat face to stick easily. You can also, with patience, use beads or conventional beads. Draw the design first with a pencil or pen, and then glue the crystals on top.
11. Fringes
If you like fringes, you can use synthetic leather or some stiff fabric to make these appliques. You can hook them directly on the laces, so you can remove them if you don’t want to have them anymore.
