100 Examples of Pronouns

The pronouns They are words that can replace nouns or noun phrases and are used to refer to people, animals, or things without directly mentioning them. For example: That He is my cousin.

These words have no lexical meaning by themselves, but rather acquire meaning based on the noun they replace. From the morphological point of view, they can vary in gender, number and person, depending on what type of pronoun it is. For example: The he is a good man. / They they sang a song.

Careful: We must not confuse pronouns with determiners. The pronouns are words that replace the noun to avoid its repetition, while the determiners are words that accompany it, that is, they appear together with it. For example:

  • Me pencil is red. / That man is my father / Than such a beautiful day (Determinants)
  • The red pencil is Own. / My father is that. / I dont know what we will do now. (Pronouns)
