10 Examples of Isocolon

The isocolon It is a rhetorical or literary figure related to parallelism, which consists of the equality or similarity in the syllabic length of various clauses or sequences in prose, that is, phrases that are divided into syntactic members of similar composition. For example: Difficult is the way, difficult is the journey.

It is a figure of repetition and belongs to the group of figures of speech. The repeated structure can be a word, a phrase or an expression. It is similar to the isosyllabism of poetry (the repetition of the number of syllables in the verses).
